Keble At Large

Keebs1
Keble at Large is the college’s student-led Outreach Society. Dedicated to myth-busting and truth-spreading, the society is built up of engaged, socially conscientious, Keblites who really want to make a difference to the way Oxford is perceived!

Keble, like many Oxford colleges, has a society dedicated to improving access for those from underrepresented socio-economic and educational backgrounds.

On a day-to-day basis, this means giving tours to students from target schools up and down the country, primarily from our Regional Outreach linked schools in the West Midlands (specifically the local authorities in Birmingham, Coventry, Sandwell, Solihull and Warwickshire). These tours are vital because they demystify Oxford and quash misconceptions about student life here for students who often lack expertise and support from school throughout their Oxbridge applications.

This makes being a KAL Volunteer a super low-commitment role and allows you to be as involved as you want to be with no pressure on how often you decide to take part. There is also opportunity to feature on our socials, either by telling others about your journey to Keble, doing day in the life story takeovers, or featuring in videos for our brand new access Youtube channel. KAL unites Keble students from all socio-economic backgrounds in the aim to make a difference and has done great things since its creation, but we want it to continually evolve and improve and hope that this year will be its most successful one yet! If you would like to get involved in Keble at Large’s Committee, or have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Access Officer.
