Counsellor & Junior Deans

College Counsellor

Nicola Psaila is our experienced college counsellor. She has worked as a therapist in a wide variety of mental health services since 2003 and so has extensive experience of providing psychological therapy for people with all sorts of difficulties and struggles, and from different walks of life.

On the days she is not in Keble she works at the University Counselling Service and also as a specialist mental health mentor for the Disability Advisory Service. Keble students can still make appointments with the University Counselling Service as before.

Attendance at sessions and their content are all completely confidential.

Booking an Appointment

Nicola is in Keble every Tuesday during weeks 0-9 of term. Members of the JCR make appointments to see her by emailing: counsellor@keble.ox.ac.uk

Appointments are held in room 3012, Pusey quad staircase 2.

Keble Junior Deans

We (George, Leila and Victoria) are the Junior Deans at Keble. We’re DPhil students who live in college and work with the Dean and welfare team to provide welfare support and help handle disciplinary matters. We’re peer support and first aid trained and can help with things like anxiety, exam stress and mental health. We’re always happy to chat so come and say hi or send us an email (junior-deans@jcr.keble.ox.ac.uk) if you have any questions or want to set up a meeting.

There will be a Junior Dean on duty every night during term time in case of emergency. If you need to get in touch during these times the easiest thing to do is to go to the Lodge and ask the Porters to call us.
