A Summer Hall update!

Summery salutations Keble,

With Keble’s first ever Summer Hall fast approaching here’s an update on a few details:

The dress code for Friday is ‘Smart with a hint of Gerard‘ (bow-ties!). Jackets are optional due to to the weather.

As I’m sure you all know by now, Summer Hall is a chance for us to give our beloved Hall Manager of 11 years, Gerard McHugh, a great send off. So, when the JCR gives Gerard their thanks, please be sure to join in.


Summer Hall – get booking!

Bookings for Summer Hall on Friday of 7th week are now open. This will be a 3-course Dinner, preceeded by a glass of Pimms on Hayward  quad.   Bookings will close 10am Monday, 7th week.

The JCR is planning something special which we will let you know about closer to the time… but, for now, get booking!!

Elections and motions!

Don’t forget that nominations for JCR Secretary close this Saturday at midnight. Junho Hyun-Sack will be the returning officer again so please hand in all forms to him!

Due to the timing of this election, the tenure of the position will run from 8th Week of TT13 to 8th Week of MT14 rather than the usual Michaelmas 8th Week to Michaelmas 8th Week.

Nominations forms can be found here. Please hand in two printed copies of the form to Junho via pidge, one virtual copy by email, and a short manifesto and photo also by email.

Also, don’t forget to get your motions in for this Sunday’s meeting! Not many left so if you want something done before the long vac, get them in now! Thursday midnight is the deadline.

Hockey Cuppers Champions!

Yet another cup for the trophy cabinet!

Keble College have won another victory in the University’s Cuppers tournaments. Keble’s Hockey team scooped up the victor’s cup after a fantastic match on Saturday. A huge congratulations to all those involved!

Come over to Hayward Quad for FREE snacks, FREE pizza, FREE G&Ds, SUMO SUITS, GARDEN GAMES, a charity TOMBOLA and much, much more. There’s even rumour that there may be some free drinks tokens for Pimms flying around…

Today is the day of the biggest elections of the year! Log-in to Mi-Voice ( using your details as emailed to you by Samuel Littley to vote!

Check your emails for the manifestos of the candidates or have a look at the manifestos attached on the mi-voice page.

Positions being decided on today are: PresidentTreasurerOUSU RepAcademic AffairsCharities and DonationsArts and Publications, and Accommodation.

Vote now to avoid missing your chance to have your say.

Results will be announced in Keble Bar at 9.30pm.

Result of President’s hustings challenge…

SeanSean Tomas Ford brought home gold in the President’s hustings challenge last night. He scored a mighty 82 points!

Alex Connolly was not far behind with an impressive 64 points!

Both candidates did an amazing job with both of them sticking it through until midnight.

alexDon’t forget that elections for President, Treasurer, OUSU Rep, Accommodation, Arts & Pubs, Academic Affairs, and Charities & Donations are this Thursday! Results will be announced in the bar just after 8.15pm.
